Why Make Your Own BBQ Sauce

Have you ever looked at the ingredient label of sauces and dressings in the supermarket and find a long list of things you would never use if you made it yourself? Many of the sauces from grocery stores are filled with sugars, salts, fats, and various preservatives and emulsifiers that aren’t great for your health. The reason they’re added is to make a product cheap to produce, flavourful and palatable for the consumer, and last a long time on the supermarket shelves (and in your fridge). Besides convenience, these products won’t do you much benefit, and that’s why I love to make my own.

Although it may seem like a huge hassle to make your own sauces when you could easily just pick one off the shelf ready to go, it really doesn’t take much effort. This easy bbq sauce will only take you a couple of minutes to put together, and you’re most likely to already have most of the ingredients at home. In the long run, making your own sauces will save you both money and your health.
